Write your master thesis in the team Direct Marketing / PPA in Bremen with one of the following topics: Topic 1: Analysis of future electricity prices depending on weather years, demand and supply developments or Theme 2: Modeling intraday prices to assess income opportunities for batteries, PV and wind farms or Topic 3: Analysis of future development of markets for control energy Your future tasks with us: Preparation of a Master's thesis and presentation of results Independent data collection and modelling Definition and analysis of appropriate scenarios and their interpretation (in terms of profitability of battery stores, trading strategies for wind energy and PV plants, future income opportunities for renewable energies) Depending on the topic, the following tasks can be incurred: Introduction to and selection of an open source energy model/framework (e.g. oemof.solph or Amiris) Analysis of different methods for producing price and quantity forecasts Creation of price and quantity forecasts (Intraday, Rule Energy) based on existing modeled Day-Ahead price series Your profile: enrolled student (m/w/d) in an economic or technical course, ideally in the field of renewable energies, in the last section of the study Good knowledge of electricity markets and energy systems knowledge of Python or R, or a high affinity to work into these areas Previous knowledge of statistics, economic or Regression analyses are advantageous for Themes 2 and 3 Previous knowledge of energy system modeling are beneficial for the topic 1 We offer you: A friendly and modern working environment A comprehensive care of your work An attractive remuneration JOBV1_EN
