Solution Architect Network Security (m/f/d)

Design and answer high-security network architectures taking into account modern approaches such as Zero-Trust. Acting as a central professional link to the System Security department and transferring their security requirements into implementable network designs. Define and monitor the implementation of zoning concepts, firewall rules and encryption standards across all platform layers. Evaluate and integrate network security technologies such as micro-segmentation, intrusion detection and secure remote access solutions. Developing architecture principles in close coordination with the Enterprise architects. Support Proof-of-Concepts for new network technologies and ensure compliance with the Defence Security Guidelines. Advising the platform and DevOps teams in securing their CI/CD pipelines and connecting cloud or hybrid resources. Creation and maintenance of architectural documentation for audits and certifications as part of system security. Moderate target conflicts between maximum connectivity and set necessary security restrictions to find sustainable solutions.

Complete study of computer science, system technology or comparable technical training with multi-year professional experience in the IT infrastructure environment. Deep experience in designing and securing complex enterprise networks, such as routing, switchin or next-gen firewalls. Controlling modern security concepts such as micro-segmentation, such as VMware NSX, Cisco ACI, VPN and Zero-Trust architectures. Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the defence environment and practical implementation of hardening requirements, such as BSI fundamental protection, NIST. Ideally, certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCIE Security or PCNSE, as well as experience in securing virtual environments and container networks (Kubernetes Network Policies). Ability to act as a bridge builder between engineering needs and security compliance and to translate complex threat scenarios into preventive network designs. Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing and willingness to occasional national and international missions.
