In close cooperation with System Engineering, you will analyze the relevant requirements regarding the functionality, design and verification of the software. Then create the necessary software architecture and develop the software. In cooperation with hardware and operating system development, you support integration into the corresponding hardware module. To verify the software, define the test procedures, support the test and document the results. You will also develop application programs for test applications. With your accurate documentation you ensure the transparency and traceability of your product. You act as a competent contact within the team and for the customer around the software you have developed.

You have successfully completed an engineering or computer science study or comparable training. The handling of embedded systems is known to you and you bring appropriate experience in hardware-related programming (e.g. Embedded C/C++, Python, ADA, VHDL). Requirement engineering and software modeling (e.g. UML, Rhapsody) are familiar to you. With microcontrollers (e.g. ARM, x86, Cortex-M), you know each other. Knowledge of certification standards DO178/DO160/DO254 are a clear plus. Experience in the development of programs for test applications (e.g. with LabVIEW) is also advantageous.
