IT Security Engineer - Endpoint & Network Protection (m/f/d)

You assume the operational responsibility for IT security measures in the endpoint, network and system environment of VOLKSWOHL BUND. The aim is to ensure a stable, technically effective safety operation (protection, detection, response). Endpoint- & System Security Operation and Development of Endpoint Security Support in developing a Managed Detection & Response (MDR) concept. Monitoring, analysis and response to safety events Ensuring the patch and update discipline in close coordination with the change process / eliminating vulnerabilities Network & Infrastructure Security Participation in firewall, proxy, and network security policies and their implementation Evaluation and curing of interfaces between network and terminals Security operation & coordination Working with Security Operations (Incident Handling, Change Management, Asset Bezug) Maintenance of security policies, checklists and documentation Support for awareness and reporting tasks

Experience: 3–5 years in the operational IT or security environment (e.g. system administrator, network technician, security analyst). Experience in insurance or financial management of advantage Professional: Solid knowledge of IT security and network technology (Firewalls, Routing, Endpoint Security, MDR concepts). Security Operation Experience (Monitoring, Incident Handling, Patch Management) Methodically: ITIL basic understanding, structured documentation, safe handling of security tools and logs Personally: independent, responsible functioning; communication strength; Team capability between network, operation and security Industry Knowledge: Understanding regulatory requirements (DORA, BSI basic protection) desirable, can also be built
