Head of Department Design Mechanics (m/f/d)

General responsibility for mechanical design including strategy, organization and backup of results (date, cost, quality, capacity) Discipline and professional leadership as well as further development of a performance, solution and project-oriented design team Standardization and Professionalization of Processes, Methods and Tools (Lean Engineering, Building Kit Systems, Review and Release Structures) Ensuring standard, hygiene-friendly, food-grade constructions including technical feasibility and risk assessments Capacity and resource management across all projects and escalation instances in complex technical issues Control and successful implementation of change management projects for the sustainable anchoring of organisational changes in the team Close, structured cooperation with project management, electrical design, software, purchasing, assembly, service and sales Active exchange with suppliers and technology partners as well as representation of the company in specialist bodies and in standardisation and policy work

Complete degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or comparable qualification Multiannual leadership experience in a construction department, ideally in special machine or plant construction Detectional experience in the introduction of lean principles as well as in the construction of modular platform or modular systems Technical sovereignty in the project-driven engineering environment including standards and policy competence Very good CAD (e.g. SolidWorks) and ERP knowledge as well as reliable German and English skills Entrepreneurial thinking, high decision-making and enforcement strength with simultaneous team focus, strong leadership and communication skills

Total responsibility for all technical areas (mechanics, electrical engineering, automation, software) Development and implementation of the overall technical strategy, innovation management and product development of the company Control of technological roadmap
