In our psychiatric hospital, around 17,000 patients are treated in seven separate clinics of different disciplines at seven locations annually in a stationary, daily clinical and outpatient manner. With around 1,850 employees, the clinic is one of the largest employers in the Heilbronn-Franken region. The Klinikum am Weissenhof is recognized as an academic teaching hospital at the University of Heidelberg and is incorporated into the teaching of psychiatry and psychotherapy at the Faculty of Medicine. The Klinik für Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie und Psychotherapie at the Weinsberg site comprises 54 full-station beds at six stations (crisis intervention area, children's station, youth station I and II, youth-specific addiction station and youth station with the heavy point of eating disorders) as well as a child- and youth-psychiatric institute ambulance. In addition, the child- and youth-psychiatric clinic also includes four external sites with a total of 59 day-clinical treatment sites at the Schwäbisch Hall, Heilbronn, Ludwigsburg and Winnenden sites with respectively associated institute ambulances. In addition, the clinic offers a station-equivalent treatment (StäB) at the Ludwigsburg and Weinsberg sites for children and young people with psychiatric treatment requirements, which do not enable them to enter a clinic. In the clinic, the entire spectrum of child and youth psychiatric diseases is treated. Behavior-therapeutic and systemic-family-therapeutic treatment processes are used in particular.
