Place of work: Frankfurt am Main Occupation: part-time, limited (1 year) Job ID: 2026_0420_02 The Deutsche Bundesbank examines and evaluates the financial markets from a macroeconomic perspective with the focus on monetary policy. We analyse the dynamics of interest, stock and foreign exchange markets and look at structural and institutional factors. At our work we use a wide range of analysis tools that are constantly evolving.

In your role, you are responsible for the automation and moderation of our model infrastructure, as well as for a daily updated collection of financial market graphics, which include the quarterly chapter on financial markets in the monthly report. You develop an automated updating process that uses Git-versioned code, saves model results in a central data platform and generates visualizations in corporate design. Existing scripts and automations lead you to a new architecture and develop reusable templates and blueprints for evaluations and graphics. Based on the model, you will analyze and evaluate current developments in the inter­national capital markets and derive sound assessments. Their address-oriented analyses strengthen internal opinion formation and enter into publications by the Bundesbank.

Master's or equivalent degree with a reference to economics with a total grade of 2.0 or better Very good programming knowledge in MATLAB, good knowledge in SQL and safe handling of Git Good knowledge of common financial and market data sources (e.g. LSEG/Refinitiv, Bloomberg, ECB Data Portal) knowledge and ideally experience in economic modelling and time series analysis, the implementation of empirical capital market analyses and the automation of modelling and visualizations Ability to analyze, evaluate and understand complex facts independent and at the same time team-oriented working, high commitment and very good work organization good German and very good English skills
