Senior Data Engineer – Data Analytics Plattform (a*)

You implement the existing data analytics platform in practice, develop it professionally and continuously introduce suggestions for improvement from operating operations. Complex data pipelines and data products are developed, operated and optimized along the entire value chain – from data acquisition to analytical usage. In architectural decisions, you will provide expert advice, evaluate technical options and support the further development of the target architecture. Establish and improve DevOps practices for analytics solutions – including CI/CD, automation, monitoring and operation in Azure and Databricks. Data quality, testability, security and stability are guaranteed and also support metadata management, data catalogs and technical governance. In close cooperation with Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, Data Analysts and the Product Owner, you give professional orientation to the team and contribute to an efficient, community way of working.

You have successfully completed a technical university or university degree course and provide a solid professional basis for your tasks. Multiannual experience in data engineering (at least five years) will distinguish you so that you can master complex data landscapes. Dealing with Python – ideally combined with PySpark – and SQL are not a challenge for you and you use the programming languages routined in your working day. Data-Warehouse and Lakehouse architectures are familiar to you and you have deep practical experience in building and developing them. You also work safely with Azure, Databricks and modern cloud analytics stacks and use their possibilities targeted. DevOps methods in the analytics environment such as CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code and Monitoring are applied in practice and develop them further. A strong understanding of architecture and the ability to implement technical concepts pragmatically and solution-oriented, complete your profile. You are at home in agile work environments and work structured, responsible and independent. You have very good German skills.
