The works office of the city of Norderstedt is one of the most modern farms in Schleswig-Holstein with more than 200 employees in the areas of urban drainage, waste disposal, urban cleaning, road maintenance, fleet of vehicles, green entertainment and inclusion. With more than 25 employees, urban drainage as part of the farm takes over the cleaning and maintenance of wastewater facilities throughout the Norderstedt city area and thus ensures smooth operation of the canal network over 520 km, according to the generally accepted rules of the technology and taking into account environmental aspects. The wastewater systems include, inter alia, pumping plants, rain retention basins, drainage trenches and much more. The willingness to settle urban drainage ensures that, in the event of unpredictable events and incidents of damage, a reliable contact person is available 24 hours a day on 365 days a year and possible disturbances and causes are eliminated. A varied working environment awaits you in which, thanks to job rotation, no day resembles the other. You will be flexibly and individually deployed in several areas of activity of urban drainage, take over all tasks in self-responsibility or in the team and can continuously expand your knowledge through new experience in the various areas. The main tasks of the job are: Responsibility in the city area: You take over the professional cleaning, maintenance and maintenance of all wastewater systems throughout the city area of Norderstedt – supported by state-of-the-art vehicles and special equipment Smart Working / Digital Workplace: You are actively working on digital catasterism. You document damages and conditions directly on site via tablet or on-board computer in our geoinformation systems (GIS) Pre-thinking and planning: You will participate in the efficient tour planning to optimally unwind cleaning intervals and to be quickly at the site of use in an emergency Technical craftsmanship: In case of disturbances or damage to the wastewater equipment, you are actively engaged and ensures a quick and professional removal Use for the community: You support our team as part of readiness (also outside regular working hours) to Norderstedt e.g. for heavy rain events
