Nucleic acids are central to the storage, transmission and regulation of genetic information and play important roles in biotechnological and biomedical applications, such as CRISPR/Cas and mRNA vaccines. Individual molecules have significantly improved our understanding of these fascinating molecules and their interactions with therapeutic active ingredients. In order to meet new medical challenges and strengthen Europe's competitiveness, the MeChaNiSM project aims to train a new generation of scientists in single molecule biophysics with a focus on nucleic acids.
