Teacher of Elementary Music Education (m/f/d)

The large district town of Giengen an der Brenz, with around 20,000 inhabitants, has numerous business and craft businesses, a good infrastructure, all types of schools, diverse childcare facilities and attractive, versatile leisure and recreational services.

In addition to our team at the Office for Culture, Sports and Tourism, we have the following place in part time at the municipal music school:

in parttime (12 UE / week)

Their tasks are in particular: • Granting of lessons in all areas of elementary music: parent-child courses, early musical education, elementary music in primary and senior schools, • further development of the department, • cooperation in the development and implementation of cooperation with general education schools, day care facilities and senior citizens' homes; • Participation in events and projects of the Music School.

We expect you to: • a completed study in the subject of elementary music education or similar studies in music education, • a completed child-pedagogical training, provided that there is extensive musical knowledge or experience in the field of work and the willingness to complete a vocational training course in the near future; • ideally teaching experience in elementary music education, • the ability to work artistically and pedagogically, as well as methodically diverse with children in preschool and primary school age, • Confidence with and willingness for different forms of group teaching, • familiarity with various formats of elementary music education (parent-child courses, early musical education, basic musical education), • willingness to cooperate with other educational institutions; • Sovereignty and kindness in communication with students, parents, colleagues and educational partners, • driving licence and own car for the journeys between the decentralized training centres are required, • Communication and team skills, initiative, creativity, enthusiasm and commitment to the goals of the music school.
