Number: MER0003ZOG In Group Research & Development, we design the automotive generations of the future. In the ''Mercedes Benz Development Systems and Digitization'' area, the product development process is defined after which the Mercedes-Benz vehicles are developed. The operation of the digitalization strategy in the production of products is also anchored in this central area. The Digital Twin RD team is driving the identification and implementation of digital control levers to increase maturity and increase the development speed of our future vehicles. A vehicle is already secured not only by means of hardware, but also by computer simulation. Your focus will be on (in this context) the (planning/coordination of the deployment) “use of AI in digital vehicle protection”. The implementation of the tasks is carried out in close cooperation with experts from the various R&D fields. These tasks come to you: Participation in the design of concepts for digitization and the use of AI in the dig.

Support in the planning, implementation and follow-up of work and committee meetings with experts

Support in the preparation and evaluation of queries related to AI use in vehicle protection

Assessment and integration of AI projects in vehicle development

Creation of presentation contributions for appointments with experts to top management

Independent processing of test orders

The activity can begin from April 2026. The weekly working time is 10 hours.

Current bachelor's or master's degree in the field of economic engineering, engineering/natural science, computer science, data science or comparable degree programme Experience with AI deployment in the environment of digital backup and in particular FEM-based backups AI/ML experience with as broad as possible orientation Fun in overarching and coordination activities Secure handling of MS Office Tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel Good communication skills and team spirit High level of readiness, flexibility and self-initiative Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Additional information: We are looking forward to your online application with CV, lettering, certificates, current enrollment certificate, giving the semester and proof of the regular study period.
