The Regional Centre for Political Education Baden-Württemberg (LpB) has the task of promoting and deepening political education on a supra-party basis. As an institution of the country, it is located in the business area of the Baden-Württemberg Landtag. The LpB works on a supra-party basis and is committed to the principles of political education, as defined in the Beutelsbach consensus. The “Servicestelle Friedensbildung” is an advisory, networking and contact point for all schools in the country, as well as all state, semi- and non-state actors in the field of peacebuilding. Their mission is to strengthen peace-building across borders in the schools of the country. The Peace Education Service is located in Bad Urach. Their second location in the LpB is Ludwigsburg. We are looking for a peacebuilding service at the next possible time Head (m/w/d) in E 14 TV-L for an unlimited employment relationship in full-time (100 %). The office is Ludwigsburg.

Subject to a final delimitation, the task area shall include in particular the following activities: General management and leadership tasks in the peacebuilding service centre located at two LpB locations, the content and conceptual management and development of the service unit in cooperation with its institutions, the creation of new methodological-didactic learning media, publications and work resources in the print and online sector, the advice of school actors of all types of school (from teachers, school social workers, etc.) on topics and formats of peace formation, the support and further development of “model schools peace-building”, the planning and implementation of target group events, for example in the training and training of teachers; the qualification, training and coordination of the teams of free staff for the tasks of peace-building in schools, networking of peace-building actors and other network partners, e.g. from the fields of Global Learning and GNI, content coordination of the Internet portal1 and the social media appearance as well as public relations, committee work, in particular the management of the meetings of the Advisory Board and of the Steering Group, as well as their preparation and follow-up; the control of the budget.

For these diverse tasks we are looking for a person with completed university studies in the social sciences or political sciences or related disciplines as well as relevant knowledge in the field of peace education and political education. Experience is also expected in the professional leadership of a team. Very good communication skills, organisational skills, security in planning, controlling and implementing complex project processes as well as the sovereign handling of the PC are assumed. Experiences in the creation of learning media are advantageous. In addition, the willingness to travel within Baden-Württemberg and work on weekends is expected as part of events.

The employment relationship is governed by the collective agreement for the public service of the countries (TV-L) and is grouped according to E 14 TV-L. The place is in principle divisible.
