Advanced Expert ESG (m/f/d)

Responsibility: Methodological conception and holistic creation of the OBI greenhouse gas balance across all THG-scopes, including coordination and control of external service providers, as well as coordination with all relevant internal departments

Further development: Optimization of THG funding methods as well as selection and maintenance of emission factors for precise mapping of decarbonization successes across the value chain

Monitoring: Development and continuous maintenance of science-based decarbonization paths according to SBTi standards including well-founded target-act analysis for deriving resilient strategic recommendations

Analysis: Creating comprehensive evaluations for the operational control of climate strategy and quantitative evaluation of climate protection measures for management

Advice: Technical support for internal departments and representation of the company in cross-industry decarbonisation initiatives including transfer of best practices and promotion of sustainable transformation within the organisation

Studies: Successful completion in a relevant subject such as business management, environmental management, geography or a comparable subject

Professional experience: Long-term and deep experience in greenhouse gas accounting across all scopes in the retail environment, ideally in a carbon accounting service provider or in a large trading company

IT knowledge: Excellent handling of MS Office or Google Workspace for the preparation and visual presentation of complex analyses, including targeted communication and structured presentation of findings for different stakeholders

Own initiative: High motivation for the continuous development of the OBI climate strategy and for the observation of new methods on the market
