Grid and System Leader Medium and Low Voltage Grid (a*)

One of your main tasks is to keep the city running – from the substation to the house connection: You monitor the 10-kV network as well as the low-voltage level and ensure that the power supply is reliably available for all Hamburgerinnen (a). You take over the operating system management: While the asset management provides the resources and the asset service takes over the external service, you are responsible for the safe use of the entire system. Within the admissible limits, you meet the choices of how the network is run. The network availability is your responsibility: You evaluate what measures are possible in the current network state, coordinate planned work and make the final decision when measures to protect network stability have to be postponed. An important aspect of your activity is the precise fault management: In case of irregularities, you analyse the electrical causes in a targeted manner and consistently initiate measures to eliminate errors – with the clear focus on a fast and secure re-supply within the framework of the predetermined safety limits. You are the technical contact for our customers (a): For technical questions or vulnerabilities in the network, you are the competent first contact point on the phone. In direct dialogue, you clarify and analyze the situation. In addition, you design the intelligent network of tomorrow: you manage and evaluate information from new intelligent network stations. With modern measurement and information technology, you recognize network changes early and adapt the system control proactively to ensure a stable and sustainable network operation.

You have a well-founded electrotechnical qualification: Ideally, you are a master (a), technician (a) or engineer (a*) of electrical engineering – just before graduation. You bring the expertise to take on this responsible task in a critical infrastructure competently. A pronounced solution orientation and high readiness for use are the following: You're looking for the challenge, you're not afraid of complex fault images and you're working analytically as aiming at raising. Your actions are always aimed at ensuring security of supply at any time. You have a high mental resilience and sovereign appearance, even in challenging situations: with high network load or fault messages you remain the rest pole. You meet clear decisions and communicate these precisely and unambiguously to the operative teams in the city. You are present at the heart of the network: You are aware of the system relevance of your task, as the security of supply places the highest demands on technology and safety, and you only exercise your function directly in our local network service. Ready for full-continuous shift operation: Hamburg needs you around the clock. The work in shiftwork, even on weekends and holidays, is an integral part of your professional role, as well as the shift transfer to your evening. Reliability is of course for you: You take a central role in a critical infrastructure – you see a successful security check as a logical and correct quality proof of your responsibility. You also speak German fluently.
