The current political and structural challenges of the automotive industry require continuous work at the cost position of the Mercedes-Benz vehicle series. We work on cost-saving challenges and our task is to control and actively shape the improvement process. Together with the component managers within the development areas, we pursue the goal of sustainably optimizing technical product costs. You work in a young, highly dynamic team with varied topics. These challenges include: You support us in controlling the achievement of the technical product cost optimization You work with our specialist departments, internal and external partners as well as suppliers and align content and results with them You support active, cross-functional cost work on the component You have the opportunity to design your own projects You support board management and pre- and post-production of top management documents You will help design workshops on component cost optimisation and assist in pre- and post-processing The activity can start from October 2026.

You are at least in the 3rd semester of your technical bachelor's degree (e.g. economic engineering, mechanical engineering, vehicle engineering, computer science or comparable degree programs) or are ideally already in master's degree You have very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing You have good knowledge in MS Office, especially in Excel and PowerPoint You are characterized by a pronounced automotive affinity and ideally already have good knowledge of the Mercedes-Benz vehicle series You have a good technical understanding and interest in current developments, technologies and trends in the automotive industry You are passionate about artificial intelligence (AI) and modern digital technologies. Ideally, you have already gained first experience in handling AI tools, master basic prompting techniques and enjoy developing new applications and solutions with AI. In the best case, you can already provide first professional experience, for example through completed internships, student work activities or comparable activities Team spirit is important to you: you are well integrated into the team and are able to work together in the team You have a good communication skills and you like to work with colleagues from different disciplines You can bring fun to the project work and introduce yourself to your own projects.
