Senior IT System Engineer (m/w/d), Flensburg

KG, an exciting environment awaits you at one of the leading specialists in the field of ferry navigation. We are looking for you as Senior IT System Engineer (m/w/d) to strengthen our IT operation team to implement challenging projects independently.

Conception, implementation and operation of Windows and Linux-based system environments and virtualization platforms Operation, support and further development of productive applications in close coordination with the departments Participation in infrastructure projects in classic, cloud and hybrid environments Management and optimization of network infrastructure, including routing, switching, VPN and firewall technologies (basic understanding required) Analysis, Troubleshooting and Monitoring of the entire system and application landscape to ensure stable operation Creation and maintenance of concepts, processes, documentation and instructions for the continuous improvement of IT services Participation in IT readiness Close cooperation with IT-Helpdesk, Information Security, DevOps and IT project management

You work in a solution-oriented and customer-oriented manner and are passionate about new technologies and modern IT architectures. You have completed training as a specialist (system integration) or a comparable qualification – ideally complemented by several years of professional experience in the field of IT infrastructure and system administration. Looking for the technical challenge, you will be happy to develop and actively shape processes and IT environments. You will bring well-founded knowledge in virtualization, storage systems, network basics such as Hyper-V, Azure Local, SonicWall, as well as cloud services such as Azure and Microsoft 365. Your knowledge covers a wide range of IT infrastructure, server and system operations, both on-premises and hybrid environments. Experience in the planning, implementation and support of IT projects is advantageous. You have very good knowledge of German and good knowledge of English in word and writing.
