We help people who experience poverty, social disadvantages and exclusion, regardless of their origin, religion and sexual orientation. We are a Catholic trade association in the German Caritas Association and the institution of more than 70 institutions. We are engaged with 750 professional and 450 volunteer workers for social justice and social and democratic coexistence.

We are committed to improving the life situation of children and families in our veedel and are looking for a dedicated and professionally convincing personality as Kita-Helfer (m/w/d) in Cologne-Dünnwald / parttime (24 WoStd.) / terminated / from now on In 3 groups, 50 children aged 0.5 years are supervised at the SKM family centre of Schmalwald. 16 children have their place in the U3 area. “Life and learning related to experience” – The individual life situation of the child and of the families is the basis of our educational work. Our work is embedded in a close cooperation with parents, the social environment and, if necessary, therapeutic practices. Offers from SKM Köln and other networks and cooperation partners in the social area complement our work. We are looking for support from a Kita helper. Flat hierarchies, open coexistence and fun at work are being experienced.

After an individual introduction, you are an important pillar of our team: • You are supported in the domestic sector (e.g. pre- and post-processing of meals, covering, kitchen, laundry and disinfection) • You are supported with take-up and pick-up times (without supervision) • You will accompany excursions and walks according to the instruction of the educational specialists (without supervision) • You support the preparation and execution of festivals and events • You perform simple organizational and administrative activities (e.g., transfers, purchases, material management) • You support hygiene and regulation • You work closely with the institution management and the educational staff

The activities are carried out in accordance with the NRW funding directive. Kita-Helfer does not assume any original educational tasks.

PROFIL • completed vocational training is not absolutely necessary • Experience in the economic, organizational or social field is beneficial • You enjoy dealing with children as well as a friendly and appreciative appearance • You are team-ready, reliable and responsible • You draw from independent and responsible work • You have organisational skills and are flexible • You are ready to work into the processes of the daycare centre • You have good knowledge of German in word and writing • desirable is your experience in working with children
