System Engineer - Fileservice (m/w/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,700 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. The Fileservice department is responsible for the secure and stable operation of the file servers of the Bundeswehr (HFP), the BWI and the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI). The SLA compliant provision of storage systems with the resources provided by us based on the protocols NFS and SMB , is an essential component for the operation of the file servers of all our customers. The increased protection requirement, with respect to safe operation, is ensured and ensured, inter alia, by the timely implementation of predetermined safety measures. As a further performance, our area is responsible for the trouble-free and uninterrupted operation of the product Saperion eArchiv. The SLA and OLA compliant performance is the focus of our action.

Processing of disturbances in the control mode within the prescribed SLA Working with the (further) development of file service architectures and operating concepts Installation, configuration and administration of Microsoft Windows Server systems in the system landscapes of our customers (Core and GUI Server, DFS-N, Fileserver Cluster ) Creation of business-relevant specialist documentation Implementation of data migration resulting from capacity management, performance problems or Hardware renewal Management and optimization of folder structures, releases and NTFS permissions Creation and further development of internal operating tools (batchscripting,RestAPI,powershell) Administration, operation and monitoring of IT security and monitoring solutions (CheckMK, Grafana)

Successfully completed IT vocational training with professional experience (min. 5 years) Fileserver, DFS, Active Directory and Permission Structures Very good knowledge of IT service support processes (focus on incident and problem management) Experience in cooperation with IT projects Willingness to develop and incorporate new technologies Self-employed, structured working with high quality awareness German and good English skills (in particular technical) in word and writing
