With the research neutron source Heinz Maier-Leibnitz (FRM II) in Garching near Munich, the Technical University of Munich operates one of the most powerful and modern neutron sources worldwide. To strengthen our team, we are looking for two employees (m/w/d) in full-time radiation protection (40 h/week).

Support for radiation protection officers in their tasks Monitoring of radiation protection activities within radiation protection areas Radiation protection release of materials from the control areas Recurrent testing of radiation protection instrumentation Conducting radioactivity measurements and documentation of results You contribute significantly to the practical compliance of the limits and regulations resulting from radiation protection legislation.

You have completed training as a state-of-the-art technician, qualified master or completed vocational training in a technical and scientific field. We are also happy to give qualified and committed professional starters a fair opportunity Furthermore, knowledge of (radioactivity) and measurement technology as well as practical experience in radiation protection are advantageous You enjoy technical questions and have their own initiative, flexibility and organizational skills You are absolutely reliable, highly responsible, work structured and targeted, like self-employed as well as in the team Some of the tasks include lifting heavy loads and working under breathing protection (safety to protect against breathing 2) The high safety standard of our facility requires the atomic reliability of employees. Corresponding checks are carried out for this purpose. Access to radiation protection areas is required for your activity.

The FRM II has a flexible working time model with electronic time recording, in which multi-working is fully compensated.
