As part of the Bordnetz department, the core tasks of the team are the further development of the bus systems (CAN, CAN-FD and Automotive Ethernet), the development of new powerful bus systems incl. their hardware and ensuring the correct behavior of the connected control units on the bus systems. As an intern in the field of networking, you have the opportunity to introduce your knowledge and experience as well as to develop yourself personally. Within the framework of the internship, you will gain a broad insight into the areas of networking development through project-specific activities, e.g.: Working on testing the network interfaces of control units from all domains as the basis for a functioning network: commissioning of the test environments Preparation and implementation of control unit tests of the network interfaces Preparation of test results documentation and preparation of results Participation in the development of test programs and procedures: Evaluation of test environments and new tool releases Automation of results and results evaluations Participation in the safeguarding of current and future networking technologies and topologies, possibly with investigations of environmental influences: Conducting bus physics measurements and investigations Commissioning (optional setup and support) of suitable test setups Development of HW and/or SW sizes for test setups and test automation Conducting topology studies and their documentation Insight into analysis activities with regard to the communication behaviour of ECUs on laboratory structures and development vehicles And much more...
