Your tasks Do you want to actively participate in the development of innovative software solutions for machines as well as the control and networking of entire machine factories? Then we have the perfect course for you! With your expertise in computer science and mechanical engineering, you will become an important part of our agile team when it comes to transferring the processes from production with our machines to computer systems. In this way, we offer our customers a comfortable production control software that we want to keep improving. For this, you will complete a three-year study at DHWB Stuttgart or Karlsruhe with a focus on computer science and software development. During your three-month semester at the university, you acquire basic theoretical knowledge (databases, operating systems, programming etc.) and special knowledge (artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud technologies etc.). During the practical stages at TRUMPF at Ditzingen (Stuttgart) you will learn about the challenges of software development, application technology and central IT. You solve problems in the field of computer science yourself and work on a project as part of your three-month Bachelor thesis phase. You can also spend up to three months in one of our subsidiaries worldwide.
