As a transmission system operator, we secure the power supply for around eleven million people in Baden-Württemberg. We create the infrastructure for the energy transition by maintaining, optimizing and expanding the high-voltage network according to needs. With our network, we not only make the country an innovative power turntable in the heart of Europe, but also make the energy system of the future significant. The system operation area is responsible 24/7 for the safe, environmentally friendly and efficient operation of the transmission network and the control zone of TransnetBW. In addition to the control of the 380- and 220-kilovolt transport network, this includes the provision of efficient IT and infrastructure systems, the trade in energy and balancing markets, HSE tasks and the development of future-oriented platform solutions for controlling the power grid.

You support the further development of processes that enable the most renewable electricity to be safely transferred over large distances. You are working on improving and expanding software modules to support our control room. Carefully you support the evaluation of important operational data. You can also thoroughly predict load flows in the transmission network by specifying data models.

You study (current enrollment) engineering or natural sciences, ideally electrical engineering. You have a quick understanding and you are characterized by good analytical skills. With an independent way of working and lust for teamwork, you score in addition. In addition to routine with MS Office you have knowledge in a programming language. Also, you are interested in the operation of transmission networks and ideally have basic knowledge in the network calculation. You speak very well German and have good English skills in word and writing.
