You analyze technical, economic and regulatory issues around our power plant, storage and district heating systems. You independently identify optimization potentials and develop data-based solution approaches for operation, maintenance and investment. You process, model and visualize large quantities of technical and energy in Power BI, Excel and other analysis tools. You support economic, sensitivity and scenario analyses for existing and future plants. You participate in optimization and flexibility projects and evaluate their technical and economic impact. You analyze relationships between plant engineering, thermodynamics, infrastructure, energy management and regulatory frameworks. You'll start benchmarks, management reports and decision templates for different stakeholders up to the leadership level. You work closely with business engineers:inside, asset managers:inside, energy managers:inside, project teams and external partners. You critically question existing procedures and introduce your own ideas to improve our processes, models and tools. You support the further development of a data-driven strategic asset management for the heat transition in Berlin.

You already have a bachelor's degree and are currently in a master's degree in economic engineering, energy engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering, economic physics or a comparable degree program. You have very good analytical skills and have the pleasure of penetrating complex issues structuredly. You think abstractly, recognize relationships also across specialist boundaries and develop pragmatic solutions for previously unknown problems. You critically question facts and show a high degree of self-initiative and readiness to learn. You have first knowledge of at least one of the following topics: energy economy and energy markets, power plant and plant engineering, thermodynamics and energy technology, energy infrastructure and district heating systems, energy policy and regulatory frameworks You have experience with Power BI, Excel or comparable data analysis and visualization tools. Ideally, you have first experiences in data modeling, programming (e.g. Python, SQL, DAX) or simulations. You can represent complex facts in a comprehensible way and communicate them in an address-oriented manner. You work structured, self-responsibility and do not lose sight of extensive datasets or complex problems. You want to understand and actively shape the relationships between technology, economics, regulation and transformation of the energy system. You have the right to achieve very good results, instead of only doing tasks. You have fluent German skills in word and writing.
