Head of Quality Assurance (m/f/d)

You conduct, develop and motivate the team of quality assurance and measurement technology, plan personnel use, qualification and training, and conduct employee talks. You organize quality assurance and continuously develop it - from testing strategies and test equipment management to capacity and measurement space planning. You develop our quality management system, in particular according to EN 9100:2018 and ISO 9001, including maintenance of process documentation and key figures. You plan and accompany internal audits as well as customer and certification audits and control the implementation of the measures derived therefrom. You continue developing our CAQ software: you design test planning, complaint and action management, evaluations and interfaces to the ERP system and drive the digitalization of QS. You control the processing of customer and supplier complaints, moderate the cause analysis (e.g. 8D, Ishikawa, 5-Why) and ensure the effectiveness of corrective and preventive measures. You are responsible for initial sampling as well as the standard test and detection documentation, including for aviation requirements. You check and evaluate complex precision components according to drawings, test plans and customer specifications and support your team in demanding measurement tasks on 3D coordinate measuring machines. You plan test procedures for complex workpieces using technical drawings, apply the tests in the CAQ system and evaluate measurement results. You evaluate and develop our suppliers on the quality side (releases, reviews, escalations). You are a contact person for customers, suppliers and certification bodies in all quality issues and work closely with manufacturing, assembly, work preparation, sales and purchasing. You anchor a lived quality culture in the company and advance continuous improvement (KVP) as well as preventive avoidance of errors (e.g. FMEA, process skills analyses).

A completed technical training with further education (e.g. technicians or masters) or a technical study, for example mechanical engineering, production technology or precision engineering. Multiannual professional experience in quality assurance of a manufacturing company, ideally in machining or precision engineering. First leadership experience or clear motivation to take responsibility for a team. knowledge of quality management, in particular EN 9100:2018 and ISO 9001; a qualification as a quality management officer or auditor is advantageous. Experience in handling CAQ systems and the pleasure of digitally mapping and developing processes. Practice in industrial measuring technology, safe handling of technical drawings and shape and position tolerances. A good technical understanding of manufacturing processes and tolerance chains as well as knowledge of common quality methods (8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA). A careful, structured way of working, enforcement and a pronounced quality awareness. Communication strength, team spirit and willingness to take responsibility. Good knowledge of German and English for communication with international customers and suppliers.
