This makes this job interesting to me: 50Hertz is one of the four transmission system operators in Germany. We ensure safe current transport at maximum voltage level and integrate modern energy systems such as high-voltage direct current transmission systems (HGÜ) and power control systems. In this position, I am responsible for the testing and quality assurance of protective and control systems – directly on site in transformers in the 50Hertz network area. My tasks: on-site tests in protection and control technology, including interfaces to communications technology and network control systems, to ensure the smooth functioning of the system, performing maintenance and commissioning tests as well as factory function tests for manufacturers; working on HGÜ systems, network control systems and other innovative energy systems, Safe handling of test software, interface tags and specific device software, Documentation & coordination: preparation of test documentation and updating of project documentation; Regular, multi-day journeys with overnight stays throughout the 50Hertz network are a central part of the activity, Pre- and post-processing of the tests can be carried out flexibly at home or at one of our locations.

completed vocational training, master or technician training in electrical engineering, operating technology or completed studies in electrical engineering or comparable qualification, experience in the field of protection or control technology in high-voltage technology, knowledge of commissioning, serial protocols and IT networks, self-responsible, practice-oriented working with the willingness to work independently on new topics and to actively promote tasks (e.g. through self-study or practical testing), understanding of IT security and safe handling of MS Office & SAP PM, driving licence (cars) and high readiness to travel throughout the 50Hertz network, Very good German (C1) and good English (at least B2).
