Lead the design of mechanical systems, priority performance, safety, reliability, and manufacturability
Work closely with mechatronics and electronics engineers, software developers, and clinical experts to ensure seamless integration into the robotic system
Define and analyze mechanical requirements based on product specifications and regulatory standards, translating them into robust design solutions
Research and select mechanical components that meet system requirements and align with the technology roadmap
Oversee mechanical hardware development, including CAD design, prototyping, and testing, compliance with safety and regulatory standards
Identify potential design risks and implement mitigation strategies
Create documentation comprehensive, including design specifications and test plans, to support product development and regulatory submissions
Efficiently manage project timelines, budgets, and resources in mechanics, ensuring successful project completion and stakeholder satisfaction
Master's or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field
Proven and extensive experience in mechanical design and development, preferably in medical device or robotics industries
Strong proficiency in design tools, simulation software, and CAD design tools
Familiarity with safety and regulatory applicable standards to medical devices, such as IEC 60601
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to address complex technical challenges and optimize designs for performance and reliability
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to interact effectively with cross-functional teams
Fluency in German and preference in English
