You shall draw up opinions in which you shall consider whether a proposed medicinal or auxiliary is medically necessary, expedient and economical or whether a suitable alternative can be recommended. How to assess the potential of unauthorised treatments? The health insurance companies will instruct you to check the need and benefits of treatment methods that have not yet been approved. Is there an inability to work? On behalf of the health insurance companies, check the inability of insured persons on the basis of medical findings or on a personal presentation. Is a rehabilitation useful? You estimate whether a rehabilitation measure can lead to the desired treatment success. You can judge either by file or by exceptions in a personal performance.

In addition, it is responsible for ensuring the quality of care and treatment in the hospital sector. To do this, you will carry out assessments that take place either after file placement in the office or on site in stationary facilities. Does the hospital meet the quality requirements? You shall examine in hospitals compliance with the quality requirements laid down by the guidelines of the Joint Federal Committee and shall keep the results in an opinion

You are a doctor with a completed specialist training in the field of HNO, ophthalmology or oral, oral and facial surgery as well as several years of professional experience in a clinic or practice.
