We are looking for an operating buyer of service partners for Europe (m/w/d) at DHL Freight Euronet at our location in Langenhagen. In this function, you are part of our team Transport Procurement and responsible for purchasing as well as negotiations with our service partners. This position is also suitable for beginners!

What tasks do you take

You are looking for the best solutions! You are responsible for the preparation of tenders and carry out the associated selection process of transport operators. You take responsibility for supplier management! Your area of responsibility includes the acquisition of new service partners and conduct contract negotiations and bonds (including price negotiations) of new and existing companies in Germany and Europe as well as the associated contract management. You know your area and your customers! You are contact persons for the external service partners as well as for your internal customers (DHL Freight branches or countries). You keep the view! You monitor your ongoing procurement projects and the development of your service partners taking into account compliance with the contracts.

How to convince us

Experience and knowledge: You have completed professional training or studies (e.g. BWL, logistics, foreign language or economics). You speak fluent German and also bring very good English skills. You are safe to use the current MS Office applications. Nice to have: Other foreign languages (e.g. Polish) would be very desirable. Ideally, you have gained practical experience in the forwarding or logistics industry and/or in the area of purchasing. Personality: In this role, you need a strong enforcement capability as well as a strong negotiation skill to carry out the negotiations safely, combined with convincing communication skills, both on the phone and personally. Always keep an eye on the costs and make sure to meet your partners. You can organize and structure well, adhere to time and financial requirements and are happy to work together in the team to achieve set goals.
