We are looking for you on behalf of Siemens Mobility at the Wegberg site. Become part of the team that puts rail vehicles in operation, puts them up and puts them on the rail! They are responsible for the high-quality welding work on steel and aluminum components and thus make a decisive contribution to the safety and longevity of the vehicles.

Your duties

• Repair of aluminium and steel rail vehicles
• Welding machining of components in steel and aluminum by welding concepts
• Preparation of components including mechanical processing and seam preparation
• Reading of technical drawings and related lists
• Implementation of work plans in individual and serial repair of rail vehicles
• Cooperation in welding technology planning in coordination with the welding engineer
• Welding work in forced positions and in old material according to work order
• Implementation of quality assurance including visual inspection and progress documentation
• Compliance with safety regulations and PSA requirements in the work process
• execution of small logistical activities with lifting vehicles and crane systems by order
• Application of MAG welding (135), WIG welding (141) and MIG welding (131) in the manufacturing and repair process
• Work according to welding certification (ISO 9606) and industry standard standards (e.g. EN 15085) in the rail vehicle environment

Your profile

• Training as an industrial mechanic (m/w/d) or mechatronic (m/w/d)
• Valid welder certificates
• Multiannual experience in welding weatherproof steels and/or aluminum
• Ideally experience in rail vehicle technology
• G39 required
• In the case of existing forklift certificate: G25 required
• Safe handling of work plans, lists of pieces, drawings and process and quality regulations
• Experience in welding in forced positions and complex component geometries
• Experience in quality assurance and documentation of welding work
• Experience in handling lifting vehicles and crane systems according to work order
• Ready for occasional business trips and assembly work in Germany and abroad
• Secure communication in German and English
• Knowledge in MAG (135), WIG (141) and MIG (131), unless already covered by certificates
• Working according to welding standards and tests (e.g. ISO 9606, EN 15085), if not already proven
• Precision in execution and high quality awareness
• Process discipline in implementing work plans, drawings and safety requirements
• Self-responsibility in the processing and documentation of the progress of work
• Coordination in the team and with the welding specialist in the planning and implementation process
• Safety awareness in handling crane systems, lifting vehicles and working environment
