Client Architect

Heat and energy are our contribution to the quality of life – every day new. As BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH we supply the capital with electricity and heat in a climate-friendly manner. Our district heating network is the largest Western Europe with a length of more than 2,000 kilometres. We supply about one third of the Berlin households with heat. With the know-how of our 2,300 employees, we cover the entire value chain of district heating – from production to grid operation and expansion to distribution. At high pressure, we work at the coal exit until 2030 and at climate-neutral production from 2045. In this way, we support the Land of Berlin significantly when reaching its climate targets. On the way to this we want to realize a higher proportion of renewable energies and waste heat. To do this, we need to redesign many of our sites and facilities. For this challenge and the associated tasks, we need people who are fully committed to our common goal of a local heat transition – people like you.

For the BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH we are looking for you as a client architect at the location Berlin in an indefinite position. In this role, you shape the strategic orientation and further development of our client and workplace architecture in a medium-sized company with high social relevance. Your tasks You develop the architecture strategy for our client infrastructure, including Entra-joined clients, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Mobile Device Management. You manage and optimize mobile device management. You design and control the technical implementation of new workplace solutions in close cooperation with internal departments and external service providers. You evaluate technological trends and develop future-oriented concepts for the digital workplace. You are responsible for the technical architecture documentation, including security, operational and integration aspects. You define standards and guidelines for software packaging, endpoint security and lifecycle management. You support the project management in the introduction of new solutions and monitor their implementation from an architectural perspective.

Your profile Complete study of computer science, business informatics or a comparable qualification Multiannual experience in the design and architecture of client environments in complex IT landscapes Deep knowledge of Microsoft technologies such as Entra ID (Azure AD), Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune and Windows 11 Experience in cooperation with external service providers, in particular in the area of software distribution and endpoint management Designed strategic and analytical thinking Communication strength and ability to understand technical concepts Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or Azure Solutions Architect Expert are beneficial Very good knowledge of German and English (min.
