We develop social future! As an operating IT service provider of the Federal Employment Agency (BA), the IT system house at the main location Nuremberg/Fürth and at various locations throughout Germany with over 100 IT applications, 180.000 connected PC workstations and the associated infrastructure runs one of the largest IT landscapes in Germany and continuously develops them. They are hired in the IT system house as IT architect/in.

As an architecture office, we support our product and platform areas with agile architecture management and give a strategic orientation in close cooperation with the stakeholders. The architecture office combines expertise from many years of experience, consistent training, regular, institutionalized exchange with a high commitment of its employees. As an expert architect with the special focus on enterprise architecture (EA), with your ideas and knowledge, our team EA will support you in the following topics:

• Transparency of the IT landscape (IST), IT roadmap (PLAN) and target architecture (SOLL)
• Identification and addressing of technical and technological needs and architectural potentials
• Support for the strategic development of the IT landscape

Together with our partners (technology managers and architects as well as the technical and technical managers of the areas), you will develop target architectures and solutions – thereby operationalizing the implementation of the IT strategy. They identify architectural potentials and discuss the possible implementation with the partners concerned. Together with the solution architects, you will ensure a strategic development of the IT landscape. In addition, you will be represented by the overarching view of the EA team in the architectural decision forum and in the upstream architectural work forums. They analyze technical and technical relationships and provide an overview of the IT landscape of the Federal Agency for Labour.

Ideally, you will be involved in the further development of the existing EAM solution: from the request analysis and the conception of evaluations to the implementation of the EAM portal and EAM backend, there are many possibilities.

The exchange within the framework of the architectural forums takes place regularly within the framework of presence dates in the Nuremberg area.

Tasks and Activities

• Development of IT strategies focusing on technological dependencies and architectures
• Current market exploration and review of technology trends and developments and adaptation of IT internal guidelines
• Creation of IT Security and Compliance Policy and Ensuring Compliance
• Analysis and assessment of technical requirements
• Responsibility for planning, organisation and implementation of projects over all phases of the project
• Definition of project objectives, milestones and resources

This means in particular for the activity in the EA team:

• Representation of the overarching view in the discussion with area architects and within the architectural forums
• Analysis and clarification of technical and technical relationships with our partners
• Abstraction and translation of analysis results into the EAM nomenclature
• Conception and implementation of evaluations on IT landscape
• Deduction of adjustment requirements in EAM classification and EAM methodology
• Quality assurance of existing information

Requirements

• Higher education or comparable qualifications (priorities: computer science, business informatics)
• Long-standing relevant professional experience
• or comparable profile
