Heidelberg University Hospital (UKHD) is one of the most important medical centers in Germany and stands for the development of innovative diagnostics and therapies as well as their rapid implementation for the patient. The Controlling department is responsible for the support of the clinics in the optimal planning and control of the available resources as well as for the preparation of decisions to fulfill the clinical targets. It plays a central role in the management of the University Hospital. The department produces relevant reports, is responsible for the control methods in hospital care, carries out the InEK case cost calculation, controls the planning process and reports regularly to the clinic lines, the management department and the clinic officer. It also produces reports to the Supervisory Board and the Ministry. The controlling is responsible for an important interface between the clinics, subsidiaries and the administrative management level of the University Hospital. Further tasks and responsibilities will be assigned to the business area as part of the association with the University Hospital Mannheim on 01.01.2026. In close coordination between the Total Controlling and IT business units, you are responsible for operating control, in particular with regard to commercial aspects, and act as an interface between IT, total controlling, finance and purchasing. You are responsible for monitoring and controlling the overall IT budget with a particular focus on project costs, investments and medium-term outflow. You establish independent structures and complex key figures for the future management of the IT sector. You independently coordinate the IT-internal preparation of business plan, budget and forecast and support in procurement processes. You create IT financial reporting and develop it further, carry out complex deviation analyses and ensure data quality. Together with the IT and Controlling business units, You are responsible for defining and managing policies, procedures and governance structures and monitoring their implementation.
