Cloud Engineer (m/f/d)

You develop, automate and operate our landing zone and create the basis on which all R+V cloud projects run safely, stable and efficiently. Central security and compliance issues are your responsibility. You ensure that our environments meet regulatory requirements and internal standards. You work with other cloud, security and application teams, translate technical and technical requirements into sustainable cloud solutions and meet architectural and design decisions. You analyze problems and implement sustainable improvements in system performance, reliability, security and costs. You work with us in a growing team in a great atmosphere and with the opportunity for each member to introduce his individual strengths and interests.

You have either completed your studies in computer science or a comparable field of expertise, a suitable training or otherwise bring appropriate practical professional experience in the IT field and feel comfortable in our tech stack: Public Cloud, Opentofu, CI/CD Gitlab, Python, Bash Practical experience in the cloud environment distinguishes you, ideally as a cloud or security engineer. You are also familiar with building and operating cloud infrastructures (e.g. virtual networks, company connection, firewall). You work with OpenTofu and create structured, modular and reusable IaC code. Automation of recurring tasks with Bash, PowerShell or Python is of course for you. Ideally, you bring an understanding of security, compliance and governance (e.g. policies, RBAC and compliance reporting). At best, you already have experience with monitoring and use it for transparency, error analysis and optimization. Good knowledge of German in word and writing (at least level B2) and experiences in the agile working world complete your profile.
