Head of Finance (m/f/d)

As head of the financial department, you are responsible for finance, controlling and central purchasing and third-party funding at the University of Kassel on behalf of the Chancellor and ensure a transparent, reliable and sustainable use of funds. You continuously develop the financial and accounting system of the University and are working on simplifying administrative procedures. With your team of around 50 employees, you will ensure a service-oriented, efficient and sustainable department that best supports the university in teaching, research and administration. Your central tasks: Management and further development of financial planning, financial control and accounting and reporting (including annual accounts) Establishment and monitoring of medium-term financial planning and the economic plan of the University of Kassel and the preparation of the annual financial statements Responsibility for budgetary management, central purchasing and third-party management Contact person responsible for the audit and the Hessian Ministry of Science and Research, Art and Culture (HMWK) in budgetary matters Strategic and operational development of the financial department as a modern service unit.
