Carl Zeiss CMP GmbH is part of the global ZEISS manufacturing network and offers services for the development and production of opto-mechanical and optoelectronic modules components. The central core competence lies in the production of highly corrected spherical optics systems, which are used in particular in high-performance lenses of microscopy.

You focus on relocation projects from internal production to suppliers focusing on mechanics and surface. The aim is to achieve low-friction and sustainable industrialisation without repeating initial sampling and without subsequent internal quality problems.

Your role: You focus on relocation projects from internal production to suppliers with a focus on mechanics and surface and ensure low-friction implementation from quality perspective

You evaluate potential suppliers on the basis of defined quality and suitability criteria, assist in the selection of suitable partners and prepare supplier audits, conduct them and ensure effective follow-up of measures

You support the conclusion of quality assurance agreements and ensure the quality-relevant requirements and their understanding

You accompany the onboarding of new suppliers on the basis of defined test criteria and coordinate quality assurance measures

You act as a link between supplier, purchasing and manufacturing and ensure consistent traceability of quality-relevant requirements and measures

You analyze key figures and quality data, derive targeted measures and systematically take these into account in decisions based on a risk-based approach

You conduct constructive discussions and development projects with our suppliers to achieve improvements together

You use your expertise to solve greater quality problems with suppliers, accompany and evaluate the 8D processing and accept the evaluation of rejected complaints

You continuously develop processes in supplier development and create meaningful key figures for evaluating and controlling supplier quality

You have well-founded experience in the field of supplier development in quality and have the following qualifications:

Complete studies in engineering, industrial engineering or comparable qualifications, at best in the field of mechanics and surfaces

Founded and proven professional experience in supplier development Quality

Project management experience, in particular in relocation projects and process optimization

Knowledge of problem-solving methods such as 8D, Ishikawa and 5-Why

Experience in implementing supplier audits

Outstanding analytical skills and experience in key figures development and use

partner communication strength and negotiation skills

Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
