Head of Accounting (m/f/d)

Your mission We are looking for you as Head of Accounting (m/w/d) at our headquarters in Munich or our capital office in Berlin. As Head of Accounting (m/w/d), you are leading a team of around 7 employees professionally and disciplinaryly. You are responsible for the accounting and tax topics of the international group of companies (currently 5 companies incl. USA) and actively shape processes and structures. In close cooperation with FP&A, Controlling and the Head of Finance (to which you will report), you support CFO in strategic initiatives such as M&A projects and internationalisation.

Leadership and Team Management: You take over the professional and disciplinary leadership of the Accounting Team and set standards in the further development of competencies and team culture. With your team, you have the overall responsibility for all corporate accounting and tax issues. Financial Reporting and Control: You coordinate and manage the creation of the almost close monthly and annual accounts according to HGB, IFRS and US GAAP together with our external consultants – both at individual and group level. Transfer Pricing and Intercompany Management: You are responsible for the further development of the billing prices (transfer pricing) as well as the control of internal performance billing (intercompany batches). Compliance and Audit: You are the first contact person for all accounting and tax issues and coordinates cooperation with tax advisors, banks, business and business auditors. Strategic Support and Innovation You participate in strategic projects such as transactions or financing topics and actively shape new processes, conduct projects and develop our IT systems.

Your skill set Academic career: You have a degree in the field of economics, ideally with a focus on accounting/balancing or a comparable qualification (e.g. International:r Account Holder:in). Relevant professional experience: You have at least 7 years of experience in accounting (ideally background in one of the Big4) in dynamic, fast-growing companies. You also have experience in group accounting. Leadership: You've already managed medium-sized teams, don't hesitate to be hands-on, and it's fun to advance your team and share your knowledge and act as a savings partner. Accounting Excellence: You have excellent knowledge of accounting according to IFRS and HGB, bringing experience in creating almost close monthly and annual accounts, have a secure handling of accounting processes and sound knowledge in the tax and compliance environment. Tool Knowledge: You’re “digital first”, routined with MS-Office, have ideally experience with DATEV, but also in the past proven that you can make existing processes more efficient and enjoy the introduction of new tools. Language Skills: You will be happy to communicate with your stakeholders in German and English in both written and oral languages.
