Engineer as Asset Manager Land & Buildings (a*)

Hamburger Energienetz GmbH is a privately organised energy distribution network operator owned by the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. Due to the merger of electricity grid Hamburg and gas grid Hamburg in September 2024, Hamburger Energienetz GmbH is Hamburg's largest energy distribution network computing company.

Your main tasks include the further development of strategies for the life-cycle management of the land and buildings, which includes around 70 properties with technically used buildings. You also make decisions and implement changes in the property portfolio. This includes purchase, sale, inheritance rights, as well as the alteration of land use, and the granting of utility or construction loads. The planning and tax of building expansion and replacement measures is also part of your responsibility to master the future challenges of the energy transition. You develop concepts for changing usage, for expanding or for building new properties. The interests of the Hamburg energy networks are represented by other property owners and public bodies. The expansion of the property portfolio for the construction of new sites is done by internal coordination to the demand definition and an active land search. In addition, you conduct location-related research and analysis to check possible locations for new transformers and switching systems.

You have a completed (special) degree in engineering, for example as an electrical, construction or infrastructure engineer (a*) or comparable. In addition, you will have experiences in the specific requirements and in the planning of special technical structures. Good knowledge of real estate and property issues as well as an understanding of business relationships are also part of your profile. In addition, you have gained experience in project work. First experience in the infrastructure sector, preferably in the field of the management of physical assets, is desirable. You are characterized by a very good communication skills as well as a diplomatic enforcement capability.
