Research and development on civil security, in particular with regard to numerical simulation of the impact of detonation and deflagration events on infrastructure and modelling of structural behaviour under high dynamic loads Provision of scientific and technical services to assess the safety of installations for the production and storage of explosives and pyrotechnic objects, including the clarification of events using validated simulation models Special responsibility for high-level activities for the classification of explosives and pyrotechnics, including the further development of test methods
Successfully completed academic studies of a science or engineering discipline with very good doctorate Knowledge of impact assessments of detonation or Deflagration events Knowledge of validated numerical simulation and modelling approaches for evaluating highly dynamic loads on structures and measurable approaches in this area Knowledge of the safety assessment of explosives/pyrotechnics, including relevant legislation (restrictive and dangerous goods law) and relevant technical regulations are desirable Experience in the support of scientists in an early career phase is desirable Consultancy and interest in international and national regulation and interdisciplinary, scientific work Experience in the recruitment and management of F and E projects and scientific project management is desirable Proven publication activity Very good, precise and addressable oral and written expressiveness in German and English Good communication and information behaviour, targeted and structured working methods, initiative/readiness to use and skills, team capacity and willingness to cooperate as well as conceptual, strategic and innovative thinking skills
