You are a member of the management of the Magdeburg transport companies and report directly to the management.

As Head of Business Market and Transport (m/w/d), you are responsible for the strategic and operational management of the entire business unit with a total of approx. 600 employees. You ensure that the transport offer is efficient, customer-oriented, efficient and sustainable. In doing so, you combine operational excellence with market and customer understanding and a clear leadership orientation. The following areas of responsibility include: Operational Work Service: Together with the responsible executives, You ensure the efficient and quality-oriented orientation of control center, central personnel disposition and farm management. Driving service: You carry the area over the subordinate levels of management in their organizational and human design and develop it qualitatively. Transport planning: You are responsible for the strategic and operational development with regard to supply quality, capacity control and operational efficiency. These include, in particular, the ongoing evaluation of line network, timetables, circulations and services as well as the predictive coordination of construction sites and barriers. Marketing: You set the framework for customer-oriented orientation, reliable accessibility and sales-supporting further development.

You are a convincing leader with a strategic vision, a strong decision-making power and an outstanding understanding of the requirements of a modern transport company. You have: a completed university degree, preferably in a technical, transport or business degree course, ideally with diploma, master or state exams, multiannual professional and leadership experience in a strategic management function, ideally in the areas of transport, operation or infrastructure, well-founded knowledge of the relevant legal and regulatory frameworks of the ÖPNV, in particular BOStrab, BOKraft, working time and work protection regulations and ideally the VDV font series, experience in managing complex operational processes and in cross-departmental cooperation, a very good understanding of the economic, political and regulatory framework in the public transport sector and secure user knowledge in common office applications, ideally complemented with experience with SAP as well as other specialist systems such as CAD and Access. Personally, you are characterized by a motivating and strong leadership style, high communication skills and entrepreneurial thinking and action.
