About the position We are looking for a high-voltage electric engineer / consultant (m/w/d) that supports our customers worldwide in securing and improving the economic efficiency, sustainability and reliability of their high-voltage transmission and distribution infrastructure. You will be part of the Transmission & Distribution Technology Team, which consists of 50 professionals with various backgrounds and academic degrees (PhD, M.Sc., B.Sc.) as well as various cultural perspectives. Together we offer our customers specialized and innovative consulting services. Our main customers include transmission and distribution network operators, energy suppliers and industrial companies. You will work in national and international projects and work closely with other teams within DNV, for example in the areas of relocation, asset management and renewable energies. Your tasks and responsibilities You take engineering and consulting tasks and advise our customers in the field of high-voltage transmission and distribution infrastructure (T&D) You carry out electrical planning for AC and DC systems, transformers, interconnectors or components of free lines, including insulation design, lightning protection and conductor selection You are responsible for the production of specifications and tender documents and accompany commissioning checks such as factory and site sampling (FAT and SATs) In addition, you write high-quality reports and commercial offers to document the technical expertise and business opportunities You recognize market opportunities, help in the further development of our service portfolio and actively contribute to business development
