Head of Steel Mill (m/w/d)

Our client is a medium-sized metalworking company near Dresden (Sachsen) with more than 500 employees. As a future-oriented family company in steel production, it is firmly established in the industry and is engaged in renewable energies, railway technology and mechanical engineering. In order to continue the positive and sustainable course successfully, the company is looking for an area manager Stahlwerk (m/w/d) in the course of a new occupation.

You are responsible for the technical and disciplinary leadership of the production engineers and the masters of the area (about 120). You ensure the smooth running of production through upstream planning of production (material, machinery, personnel). Together with your team, you will ensure compliance with a standardised process sequence with the aim of quality and timely delivery of customers. You are responsible for the communication of the results achieved and planned targets in the operation – the high safety guidelines do not allow you to disregard. As a strong leader, You bring transparency to all areas, ensuring efficient, quality and timely production.

Ideally, you have an academic degree in metal processing, steel production, material engineering, foundry, forming technology, mechanical engineering, large installations (engineering or technical training with corresponding practical experience in steel production or forming technology) You have at least 5 years of experience in production Reliable experience in employee management is absolutely necessary Teamability, strategic thinking, high technical affinity, as well as communication and presentation strength
