System Engineer Network Technology (m/f/d)

Your main task area includes the administration, configuration and operation, IP infrastructure and network components of the Internet Backbone as well as the process data communication of e.discom Telekommunikation GmbH. You support the development of organizational and technical solutions, regulations and technical specifications for services of information and communication technology, for customer network operation, these are applications of the classic Internet protocol family as well as process data communication for network control, remote control and station control and network protection technology. You are responsible for the technical planning and implementation of strategic projects, but also for compliance with technical requirements, safety regulations and maintenance tasks in the transferred responsibility area. In the position as a system engineer IP network technology, you support complex customer orders and projects. In addition, you analyze customer requirements and create solutions. The partner company management as well as the management of service providers are also your responsibility, and you will also create reports and evaluations for customers and the management level. You take over the leadership of working groups and specialist groups and take part in a cyclical weekly readiness every 5 weeks.

You will bring a high-level/special education degree in information technology (Bachelor/Master/Diplom) or a comparable technical degree. You bring professional experience in the administration of network components in WAN/LAN and with routing protocols from the field of IGPs & EGPs. In addition, knowledge in the field of network security with regard to critical infrastructures is advantageous. Your work is characterised by self-initiative and customer orientation. Your area of responsibility extends over the security-relevant area, so an extended security check is required. Personally, you are convinced by your team and conflict skills as well as your strategic and entrepreneurial thinking and action.
