Design the future of cost-conscious product development – as Design to Cost Manager (m/w/d) You are analytically strong, think strategic and have a good sense of technical feasibility and economic efficiency? Then take over a key role in product development and actively drive the maintenance of target costs. Responsibility for compliance with product target costs during the supply and development phase anchoring and continuous development of the Culture Design to Cost permanently in all areas (development and interfaces) Introduction of analytical and consulting expertise Design to Cost in product development and essential part of decision-making within the projects Consultation of the development team with regard to cost-optimal design solutions in compliance with the applicable product and project requirements Evaluation of the development team’s design proposals on product and production cost efficiency Planning, implementation and moderation of Design to Cost workshops with the development project teams to achieve the target costs on assemblies and component levels Creation of feasibility analyses and cost-effective concepts in the offer phase Generating ideas for cost-effective design concepts, including supplychain and operations (industrial engineering) and tuning ideas with lead engineers with respect to compliance with applicable requirements Develop and prepare make or buy decisions Tracking ideas about degrees of hardness up to implementation in prototypes/series Introduction and transparent presentation of Design to Cost progress indicators at project and multi-project level in cooperation with the PMO team Design to Cost Training at all levels in the project and the disciplines

Successfully completed technical university studies (Master) At least 3 years of professional experience in comparable tasks Knowledge of special machinery construction Analytical procedure High social and communicative strength Argumentative enforcement ability to achieve targets German and English skills
