Become part of the growing team at our headquarters in Bergisch Gladbach. In this biotechnologically demanding and highly interdisciplinary environment, you are responsible for the design and development of novel biological and medical plastic components. You develop plastic-based consumables/disposables for one of our innovative medical devices – the CliniMACS Prodigy platform for cell and gene therapy as well as for the treatment of severe diseases. Together with the biological specialist departments from R&D and Marketing, you define the technical requirements of new disposables and translate them into design concepts and develop them to the product. You take responsibility in your project and develop a holistic understanding of the application development of medical devices for clinical use – including testing and installation processes. In an interdisciplinary and agile team, you work closely with biological experts and develop solutions for complex issues around our medical devices.
You are in master's degree or have a master's degree in bioprocess engineering, medical technology or a comparable engineering degree course. You have comprehensive knowledge of biology, mechanics, polymer technology and are interested in fully understanding medical devices for innovative cell and gene therapy. In addition, you are solution-oriented, work independently and appreciate the cooperation in intercultural and interdisciplinary teams. You communicate safely in German and English – both oral and written.
