As a Sustainability Manager in Purchasing, you will implement exciting projects within the global purchasing strategy that promote the transformation towards a more sustainable material supply. In addition, you support implementing the growing regulatory requirements in a global context by taking over the following tasks. Monitoring and implementation of relevant legal and regulatory requirements in the context of the supply chain and cooperation with suppliers to comply with the requirements

regular review and updating of processes and documentation to meet the changing legal framework

Development, implementation and monitoring of sustainability strategies in the supply chain and implementation of internal and external training

active capacity and development of suppliers at national and international level with regard to sustainability

systematic collection and analysis of sustainability data

successfully completed studies in the field of economics, industrial engineering or in a similar field (ideally with deepening / focus on sustainability)

multiannual professional experience in implementing regulatory requirements in the field of sustainable supply chains (e.g. LkSG, CBAM, EUDR etc.)

profound understanding of sustainability in the three dimensions of economy, ecology and social affairs (including knowledge of different concepts such as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol)

pronounced analytical thinking and structuring, targeted working

Ability to communicate complex facts clearly and addressably

knowledge of English in word and writing and very good knowledge of German as well as the readiness to travel and temporary stays abroad
