At the IuK Judgment Centre, we have set ourselves the goal of creating and developing a sustainable IT infrastructure for the Baden-Württemberg judiciary and thus the key technologies of the 21st century. to establish in the working world of justice. Our team develops and plans the next steps in the digitization of the judiciary and ensures an IT equipment that is technologically up-to-date. As part of this team, you make an important contribution to a functioning state of law.

At present, experts from all fields of justice are developing a new uniform application for the collection, processing and administration of judicial and procedural data in the Joint Process (GeFa). The program is supported by external service providers for software development and request, program and test management. After completion, GeFa will be available to the judiciary staff of ordinary jurisdiction, specialist jurisdictions and prosecutors in all 16 federal states.

GeFa is operated with the use of container technology and connected to numerous resystems. These include, inter alia, text processing systems, e-acte systems and communication platforms. Additional interfaces such as e.g. on cash systems and meeting room management systems. For piloting in the Baden-Württemberg courts, the operation of GeFa and its resystems must be established.

As a DevOps Engineer (m/w/d), you are responsible for a wide range of tasks in the development of the GeFa specialist process plant using container technology. They take into account both the construction and the independent operation of the test environment and the planning and implementation of other environments by the service provider and its specifications. Take into account the peculiarities of the newly developed software as well as aspects of the hardware to be used and information security. Your tasks include: Development of the technical structure and specification of the technical application GeFa, the basic components and various resystems – in particular from the point of view of containerization Consideration and consideration of the interfaces of GeFa to the basic components and resystems Planning, construction and operation of test instances Technical support of data migration Conception of the workflows between the project and operating parties to transfer new containers and provision in the test environment Planning of the training, integration, migration and productive environment and monitoring of the service provider independent operation of the test environment

Successfully completed university studies in computer science or a comparable subject or comparable training with as relevant professional experience as possible Knowledge of common standards and methods in ITIL-based service management within complex organizations Knowledge of common standards and methods in JAVA, SQL, container technology (including Docker/Podman, Kubernetes), client server architectures and database technology (Oracle, PostgreSQL) Willingness to incorporate into the basic technology and operating architecture of the common technical procedure Practical experience in project management Processional understanding and high standards of quality Own responsibility, structured methodological approach, creativity and agile functioning as well as organisational skills in interdisciplinary cooperation in the team
