The focus of your activity includes the auditing and type testing of vehicles, vehicle systems and necessary QM systems. In your area of responsibility, you are dealing with new technologies such as autonomous driving and driver assistance systems, but also with classical topics of active and passive vehicle safety (e.g. UN-R13, UN-R79) as well as other regulations necessary under the umbrella of the Framework Regulation VO(EU) 2018/858). In addition, you are responsible for testing and evaluating the functional safety of hardware and software-based components/systems, as well as analyzing and evaluating software development processes, tools and architectures. Furthermore, the evaluation of functional and fault effect analyses (e.g. FMEA), of hazard analyses (e.g. HARA according to ISO 26262) and other analysis methods (e.g. fault tree analyses) also fall into your area of responsibility. The testing and assessment of software update processes (according to UN-R 156) and cybersecurity inspections in the automotive sector (according to UN-R 155) as well as in the field of electrical safety (UN-R 100) and EMV in the automotive sector (UN-R 10) round off your task area.
