The Design Tools groups provide software solutions that are used throughout the group to model and interpret complex systems as completely as possible. You run one of the 'Design Tools'' groups professionally and disciplinaryly.

You motivate and develop your team members to meet a broad department assignment today and in the future.

You live an agile mindset that takes account of rapid innovation and sustainable quality alike.

You ensure that the necessary skills, capacities and technologies are planned, developed and maintained in your group and thus support the strategic development of CRT.

In close cooperation with all stakeholders, you will ensure excellent results in your group and advance new technologies and working methods.

You maintain and expand group-wide relationships with the users of the tool landscape in order to lift synergies and prevent parallel developments.

You are in contact with external partners and service providers that contribute to the design and simulation tool landscape.

You are in close cooperation with other groups in the field of design and tools. Together, You develop and live a way of working which makes the existing and future resources best used across groups.

You work together effectively in the leadership team and jointly develop cross-group and strategic topics of the CRT. You support their cross-group implementation within the CRT and in cooperation with our development partners.

You have a very good technical, mathematical or scientific degree, preferably with doctorate.

You can present several years of relevant professional experience in the development of scientific software.

You have also taken over coordinating or at least lateral guiding tasks.

Wide knowledge of physics, optics and/or algorithms is desirable.

You are team-oriented with excellent communication skills, motivating and efficient.

You speak fluently German and English.

Ideally, you have experience in agile methodology.
