We make you a digitalization expert (w/m/d) in the energy supply: You will learn about secondary technology in the high-voltage network and understand how protection, control and automation technology is digitized and developed in a future-proof manner. You will work with the interplay of control and protection technology in substations as well as with the planning, implementation and operation of digital protection, control and automation systems for secure network operation. You actively shape the digital transformation of the power transmission network: With your know-how in digitalization and OT‐Security, you contribute to ensuring the security of supply in Germany and Europe reliably in the future – in particular by developing digital control and protection technology concepts and their secure integration into network operation. You will gain sound insights into modern OT and IT technologies: These include, among other things, digital protection and control systems, IEC‐61850 communication, Industrial Control Systems (ICS) and concepts for the secure networking of operating and IT systems, which enable highly available and automated control of the transmission network. You learn how to protect our critical infrastructure: you deal with OT‐Security strategies, cyber-risk analyses and security measures to protect our secondary technology from external and internal threats – especially in the context of control and protection technology – and are therefore an important part of the safe energy transition. You optimally combine theory and practice: You complete your theoretical phases at DHBW Stuttgart. In the practical phases, you work in our fields of secondary technology, control and protection technology, digitization and OT‐Security – in our offices, laboratories and refurbishments. This gives you a realistic insight into the daily working day of a transmission system operator. After you have your bachelor's degree in your pocket, depending on your strengths, we offer you the direct entry into one of our teams.

You have at least a good score. In addition, you have a very good technical understanding, first programming experience and can demonstrate good performance in scientific subjects.
